Digital Technologies

Digital Technologies is run as a specialist class at Moorooduc. Students learn computer skills that are essential for equipping them with the fundamental knowledge to navigate the digital world with confidence. They learn how different technologies can be used to create innovative solutions to meet current and future needs. Students are provided with practical, hands-on opportunities to use technology through the use of robots, iPads, laptops and a 3D printer.

Moorooduc prides itself on integrating technology in all areas of the curriculum to guide and extend students’ learning. This is enabled through well resourced technology in every classroom. Students in the senior school utilise platforms such as Google Classroom to facilitate collaboration and to streamline their learning. Students in the junior school use a range of interactive Apps that provide engaging activities to enhance literacy and numeracy skills.

Class Dojo is used to bridge learning between home and school, fostering communication and collaboration. Teachers and students regularly share learning updates and other school activities that occur in the classroom.

Students are supported to be safe and ethical users of technology through explicit cyber safety lessons guided by the Alannah and Madeline Foundation eSmart program.
